Further rumors are leaking about the upcoming Xiaomi smartphones, in particular, the new Xiaomi 13 series. It is said, in fact, that the company will launch the new flagship devices soon after the debut of Qualcomm’s latest processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Furthermore, in the last few days, some details on the design of the rear panel of the brand new line of the Chinese brand.
In detail, the new series should sport a huge camera module on the back, almost reminiscent of the “Mi 11 Ultra” model. On both the 13 and 13 Pro, one large circular cutout and two smaller ones should stand out, while the LED flash will be on the right side of the camera module. In this regard, technical details on the sensors have not been provided, however, it is said that the main one will support optical image stabilization (OIS). By the way, the “Leica” brand is not even visible in these images.
Furthermore, an alleged image of the 13 Pro model would have revealed that the phone will be equipped with a curved AMOLED display (with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz), while on the software side the MIUI 14 based on Android 13 will stand out.
As already mentioned above, it will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, flanked by 12 GB of RAM (plus 3 virtual ones). In the past, rumors have also circulated about the battery, which would include support for 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, while the capacity of the unit has not yet been revealed.
Finally, the debut of the two smartphones should take place in November in China. The global launch, on the other hand, would be expected early next year (2023).
